She was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in explanatory journalism in 2015, and authored critically-acclaimed books on Supreme Court Justices Sandra Day O’ Connor, Antonin Scalia, Sonia Sotomayor, and John Roberts. Her latest book, Nine Black Robes: Inside the Supreme Court's Drive to the Right and Its Historic Consequences, was a New York Times Editor’s Choice winner.
