From world-renowned adventurer to CEO to sought-after performance coach, Jamie Clarke has built and led strong teams, navigated high-pressure landscapes, and overcome setbacks in order to achieve success. Now he inspires organizations and individuals to brave their own Everest with memorable insights and actionable strategies on leadership, risk management, and defining and achieving goals.

Drawing from his years as an elite mountain-climber, Jamie shares enthralling stories like reaching the Everest summit twice—but only after his first two attempts were cut short by deadly storms. Determined and dedicated, he reached his goal in 1997 and 2010. Jamie is also one of a handful of people in the world to hold the rare accomplishment of climbing the Seven Summits. Always one for new adventures, Jamie rode camels across the Empty Quarter of Arabia, and motorbiked across Mongolia with his son.

Jamie also relays the lessons he learned as CEO of a successful mountaineer clothing e-commerce business—as well as his experience as a performance coach for Olympians, the NFL, Hockey Canada and the 2018 Stanley Cup-winning Washington Capitals. Jamie also offers insights garnered from his current role as fellow and associate professor at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne Business school, where he teaches and mentors in the Centre for Advanced Leadership.

Jamie was awesome! I haven’t had many speakers that keep my attention for every second/minute of a one hour session. He did a great job of picking up on some issues in our open Q&A with our CEO (tough questions / challenges) and weaving it in to his message.
