Florent “Flo” Groberg’s career combines military valor with corporate leadership and strategic influence. More than a Medal of Honor recipient, Groberg is a transformative leader who has demonstrated resilience and decisiveness in the toughest environments. From saving lives on the frontlines of Afghanistan to leading corporate teams through complex crises, Groberg inspires leaders and organizations to tackle extraordinary challenges head-on.

During his second deployment to Afghanistan in 2012, Captain Groberg tackled a suicide bomber, saving many lives. Tragically, the attack claimed the life of his Command Sergeant Major and others. For his heroic actions, Groberg was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest recognition for valor in combat.

After overcoming severe injuries and 34 surgeries, Groberg rebuilt his life and took on leadership roles at DIA, LinkedIn, Boeing, and Microsoft. At Boeing, he served as Chief of Staff to the CEO during the 737 Max crisis, gaining deep experience in crisis management and leadership at the top of the aerospace industry. At Microsoft, Groberg led key initiatives in AI, machine learning, and secure communication solutions, driving government cloud expansion and critical defense partnerships.

Today, Groberg serves as a Vice President at AE Industrial Partners, leading efforts to optimize and grow a portfolio of companies that support national defense and aerospace, leveraging his unique blend of military and corporate experience. His leadership in strategy and portfolio management has positioned him as a key advisor to C-suite executives, guiding companies in high-stakes industries to navigate crises, develop growth strategies, and drive innovation. He also collaborated with Activision/Blizzard to create a Call of Duty character, raising millions to support veteran hiring initiatives. Additionally, he developed a leadership course through Madecraft, offering insights into resilience, teamwork, and leadership.
