Elizabeth Gillies
Known for playing sassy, snarky, strong-willed women on television, Elizabeth Gillies shares anecdotes from her inspiring acting and singing career.
After rising to fame in her mid-teens as Jade West on the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious, Gillies made the transition to playing similarly rebellious adult characters, co-starring as Denis Leary’s daughter in his musical comedy Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll and reimagining the role of Fallon Carrington in the CW’s modern-day reboot of Dynasty. In 2024 she starred in and executive produced the film Spread.
Gillies also voiced Daphne in the Nickelodeon series Winx Club and Selina Kyle in the animated film Catwoman: Hunted, and has appeared in various feature and television films, including the horror film Animal, the television film Killing Daddy, the comedy film Vacation, and the black comedy thriller Arizona.
As a singer, Gillies made her musical debut contributing to the soundtrack of Victorious in 2011, singing “Give It Up” alongside Ariana Grande. She went on to perform other popular songs while on the show, including “Take a Hint,” alongside Victoria Justice, and “You Don’t Know Me.” Her debut album, We Wish You the Merriest, a collection of Christmas duets with Seth MacFarlane, was released in November 2023.
