Most recently seen in the Sundance 2024 hit Freaky Tales alongside Pedro Pascal, Tom Hanks, and Ben Mendelsohn, Dominique Thorne is a rising star of her generation. On Broadway, she earned rave reviews in the Tony-nominated Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, where Entertainment Weekly praised her “deft exploration” of her character, “Marie.”
Known for her standout role as Riri Williams A.K.A. Marvel’s “Ironheart” in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Thorne will lead the upcoming Ironheart series for Disney+, continuing Riri Williams’ journey as the prodigious inventor who succeeds Tony Stark.
Her feature film debut came in Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk, followed by her role in Judas and the Black Messiah opposite Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield.
Born to Trinidadian parents and raised in Brooklyn’s Little Caribbean neighborhood, Dominique often discusses growing up in a culture of rich traditions, resilience, and a strong sense of community. In 2024 she was honored with the Diaspora Creative Excellence Award in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
